Lea Keating, LMT, is the co-founder of Sensory Street Kids.  When her first son, Cole, was diagnosed with speech and cognitive delays at 16 months old, Lea set out to learn all she could about Early Intervention and how best to help Cole learn and thrive.  Drawing on her background as a massage therapist (and a whole lot of research!) she incorporated sensory integration activities into Cole's daily routine and was thrilled to see dramatic results in the way he learned.  After searching and searching for a playgroup that was both fun AND supported Cole's educational goals, she decided to put together a team of professionals who could fulfill that need for her own family as well as all the others who are fighting against developmental delays.  Lea and her husband, Rob, have two little boys, Cole and Brady.

Kristy Miller, Sensory Street’s consulting speech language pathologist and co-founder, has been working with children with a range of developmental delays for the past five years.  Kristy has taken a special interest in working with children presenting with early childhood language difficulties and has pursued this area in her continued education.  Kristy received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Adelphi University and her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Queens College.  Kristy currently maintains a New York State Professional License in Speech Language Pathology, an Initial Teacher of Children with Speech and Language Disorders, and ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competency.  Kristy has worked with families in both center and home based programs treating early intervention, preschool, and school aged children. It is her belief that empowering a parent with the knowledge to foster their child’s speech, language and social development, unlocks the door to a child’s true potential.  Kristy continues to practice in Suffolk County, where she lives with her husband, Tim, and her two year old son, Brady.
